80 new pokemon and more features are finally here.
Are you as excited as I am! I'm sure you are because I have literally waited several months for this.
As usual I shall give a message from niantic before I start.
Let's start with what you've all been waiting for, GEN 2.
80 pokemon from the original gold and silver games are in pokemon go. You cam check my earlier post which goes into depth about it but let me talk about it on my own. The starters for that game are chikorita, totodile, and cyndaquil. Which are grass, water, and fire types respectively. This isn't the first time they are adding new pokemon(Ditto), Nor is it the first time they are adding pokemon from the gold and silver games(baby pokemon). But it is the first time they are adding pokemon for you to catch in such a massive number.
You can even compare some gen 2 to gen 1 taking account of their rarity, and capture rate.
Dragonite to Tyranitar
Ampharos to Lapras
Heracross to Vaporeon
Hoothoot to Spearow
Sentret to Rattata
Spinarak to Caterpie
Ledyba to Weedle.
There are many more match ups but for now that's what is ready.
Next up is gender variations
There isn't much to say about this except, males seem to be more common than females. Which might be because that's how things are for humans. Though many players think this might be for a new breeding system coming up soon.
Now we're at an interesting part, berries and pokeballs
2 new berries have been added a nabab nerry and a pinap berry
Nanab Berry becomes more of a Banana, adding the ability to slow Pokémon movements while the Pinap Berry turns into more of a Pineapple and grants double candy if the next catch succeeds.
Though there are no new pokeballs.
Poke-Fashion(Seriously that should be a real thing.There's pokemart, pokecoins, pokeverything)
There are new clothes and items some cost pokecoins, while some are free. You can even take off some items completely. Here are the new items,
Hair
Shirt
Pants
Hat
Shoes
Eyes
Backpack
Gloves
Socks
Belt
Glasses
Necklace
Since i'm running out of time to get new pokemon while they are still fresh i will round things up.
Pokemon will have different dodges and sounds when you try and catch them.
A different music plays at night, and when you turn off AR mode and try and catch a pokemon the background will be different.
If you catch a pidgeotto for instance it gives you more candy than a pidgey.
Apple watches are know more accurate.
Terrible bugs are gone.
UPDATE:
The servers are crashing because of the new code and the high amount of players flooding into the game.

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.57.2 for Android and 1.27.2 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
- Over 80 additional Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region can be caught.

- Added new encounter mechanics.
- Added Poké Ball and Berry selection carousels to the encounter screen.
