Pokemon Go valentine's day event

The speculated valentine's day event for pokemon go is finally out. Many players expected breeding or umbreon or something spectacular but we got only one word. 'PINK'. Your first thought was probably that was a riddle, but you're wrong.

For the valentines day event niantic gave us pink pokemon. Let me guess your confused.😒
Let me give you a message from niantic itself;
Trainers,
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we couldn’t think of a sweeter time to double the amount of Candy you’ll earn every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon. Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!
Throughout the celebration, you’ll notice that Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon will be encountered more frequently in the wild. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from Eggs. And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event.
This limited-time celebration will only be available from 11:00 A.M. PST on February 8, 2017, to 11:00 A.M. PST on February 15, 2017, so grab your valentine, get out, and explore the world around you!

That's right pink pokemon like clefairy, chansey, clefable, and for some reason porygon(I thought he was red and blue) will appear more frequently in the wild.
Igglybuff and Smoochum will be more likely to hatch from eggs.
You get double candy from your buddies and from eggs.(Not as good as the haloween event which gave you 4x)

All this are great but the main thing that stands out is Lure Modules now last for 6 HOURS. You read that right 6 HOURS. That's a 12x bonus! Obviously niantic wants to lure us away, and if that's their ingenious plan theen it worked! This will finally let me 'catch em all'.

This celebration starts on the 8th of February to the 15th , so that's all the time you have to enjoy this promo.

I have to say that compared to all the speculations about Espeon and Umbreon and breeding that this was kind of a let down. The halloween event was better we can all agree, but that doesn't mean ninatic should give up on trying to beat it, I mean seriously they just became a billion dollar company and it should really use that money to give us better updates. I'm not saying it's bad, i'm just saying it could be better. But hey they do say less is more(By the way, I don't support that statement, especially for pokemon go)

Sadly I have to stop writing and take my chance at getting a chansey. Don't worry, i'll be back 'six hours' later😉.
UPDATE:
Which pink Pokémon are included in the Pokémon Go Valentine's Day event update

According to Niantic, we can expect to see more "pink Pokémon" - for the suitably rosy theme of Valentine's Day - to appear in the wild. While it has not confirmed many by name - only Chansey and Clefable have been specifically mentioned - the following is a list of pink creatures you may see more of:

Pink Pokémon in Pokémon Go:

Chansey
Clefairy
Clefable
Exeggcute
Jigglypuff
Lickitung
Porygon
Slowpoke
Slowbro
Wigglytuff
With Porygon and Chansey being two of the more rare Pokémon in the game, make sure you find these two before the event has concluded. There is speculation these two only appear more often in their specific spawn locations, but we've seen Porygon across a variety of locations, so as long as you keep looking, both should be visible.

it's also a great chance to get Candy for some of the more uncommon creatures such as Exeggcute if you haven't evolved and added them to your Pokedex already.

Hatch rates have also increased for the following baby Pokemon as well:

Smoochum
