More new features are coming

We all are excited about  gen 2. The thing is its fading quickly. Why?! Cause of niantic! Remember when the baby pokemon came in, you know how we got bonuses, multipliers, increased odds, a new loading screen art! That was just for 7 pokemon.

Because of how niantic celebrated and gave players more reason to play it took us flying. With 80 new pokemon niantic did nothing. They took a dish gave us our food with no bonuses or tiny umbrella in our drink then they ask for tips.

Imagine giving a baby a spoon of food then that baby smiles, you will want to give him more, but if that baby takes a bowl of food without doing anything you will just be blank. That's what's happening.

With that going on you may wonder what's next? John Hanke has an answer,
A few days ago, Niantic CEO John Hanke gave a speech in Spain where he announced that there would be three major updates for Pokemon GO in 2017, with each of these updates expected to be as large as the recent Gen 2 update.

After his appearance at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Ninantic CEO John Hanke makes a brief stopover in Berlin. He is the founder of the company, which has developed Pokémon Go and triggered the hype of summer 2016. The cute monsters from the 90s were suddenly back.

WIRED met Hanke at the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte and started with him a few monsters. The CEO talked about how the game will go on in 2017. The most important next step: the Aren battles are completely reworked, in the center stands Teamwork.

"There were things I would have liked to have already started," Hanke asks whether Pokémon Go was ready for the release. "I still see it as unfinished."

The first three months after the release, Niantic had only had to delete one fire after another and tried to make the technology more robust. It is only now possible to focus on new features. Gradually Hanke and his team want to improve the game now.

Hanke wants more people to participate in the gym battles and not just concentrate on collecting the Pokémon. "There is very limited gameplay in the gyms. They simply do not work as well as we would wish, "he admits.

"We will rework this aspect of the game so that there will be more teamwork and people will get more incentive and reward for participating."

How will it continue after the gym update for 2017? "For the two releases that follow, we are pushing the most diverse features back and forth to define the final goals," says Hanke. The developers at Niantic would think a lot about how players can exchange monsters and fight against each other.

He also talks about trading, and he said it won't be over the internet he said it will be with people in your locality. There are now concerns about that, imagine your kid sneaks out at night to get to some guy on reddit who says he is giving out dragonites.

A parent's worst nightmare!!! That's why niantic hasn't released it yet. Once trading is done pvp will use the same system.

John Hanke said there are four major things happening this year. Gen 2 is said to be one of them so there are three left.

These are the options, PVP, Trading, Breeding, Pokemon Centers, Advanced gym mechanics, and the legendaries.

For clarification a pokemon center is a giant onscreen building where you can battle and spin pokestops at the same time, while also being able to heal pokemon without wasting revives or potions.
